Maestro Dylan wrote, "Oh the times, they are a changin'". As much as we've embraced technology, there is still some ambiguity as it pertains to the digital world of karaoke.

Pros:
•We now have quick and easy access to new music for our libraries. We used to have to buy an entire disk even if we only needed 1 or 2 songs and it often took weeks to arrive. Now, we can simply search, pay for, and download only the tracks we need.

Cons:
• unscrupulous people can:
    - Download music without paying. 
    - Make duplicate hard drives to run several shows simultaneously and
    - *Pass as a legitimate manufacturer after merely removing vocals from an existing recording or slapping together a midi track and opening up shop on the internet.

These practices are referred to as karaoke piracy and has cost our industry dearly.  Not only do service providers struggle to compete with pirate companies, but manufacturers cannot recoup the monies they spend to license and recreate the music.

Perhaps the best example is Sound Choice, one of the most impressive manufacturers of karaoke tracks we've ever had the pleasure of knowing. They employed talented session musicians to faithfully recreate each track. But, it is an expensive enterprise and, as more and more people helped themselves to their products for free, they eventually (and recently) threw in the towel. This is a huge loss to the karaoke industry.

 * We recently pulled many tracks out of our libraries as we discovered they had been produced and sold illegally. We have sent a request to produce them to a few trusted manufacturers and promise we will acquire these songs as soon as they become available. We remain committed to bringing you quality and excellence to the best of our ability.

Now that we've finished our most recent 'Songbook Project', we can again focus on your wish lists.
